Halloween 2009

I'm only a week late with this post. My secret plan was to wait until Amy and Robin both posted their Halloween pics so I didn't have to post so many. How clever am I? ;-) Seriously, I'm just way behind in posting what we have been up to.

Halloween part I -- Country Sunshine Halloween Activities

Maddie's daycare had a parade and sing-a-long the Thursday before Halloween. Parents were invited, and it looked like the paparazzi swarming daycare with all the cameras flashing and kids cheesing it up. Of course we were no exception. Here are a few pics from that event and Amy and Robin also have some good Halloween pics and videos on their blogs.

Maddie the monkey and Noah the giraffe. Stella Dot was almost coerced into being a frog, but instead was a Space Ballerina with super cool boots. Maddie kept saying, "It's going to be a zoo!"

Sing-a-long pics. These three friends all had front row seats!!

Halloween part II -- Halloween night

Mason's first Halloween, and he was dressed as a lobster. He was mostly a happy lobster. We made it to almost all of the neighboring houses with Maddie and Noah and Kylie before he started crying. Overall a good Halloween night, though.

Maddie and Mason posing before the Trick-or-Treat walk begins. This was the second real Halloween for her and this time she walked the whole way with Noah and family. She was super excited about dressing up as a monkey (after rejecting the following costumes: shark, butterfly and frog). We were really proud to see her being polite to the neighbors and saying "thank you!" Frank let her eat from her candy bucket along the way and it took a while to get her to sleep that night! Noah only ate one lollipop the entire time, but Maddie ate two lollipops, some Smarties tarts and a small Hershey bar!!

Maddie and Noah ponder the offerings at a neighbor's house.
